The "Station Beach" is a beautiful tourist site not so visible to the public but very visited by tourists and locals. It is located near the facilities of the Directorate of the Galapagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Scientific Foundation. It is a good place to meet and relax a little after visiting the Fausto Llerena Parenting Center. Visiting hours for this beach are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Something very easy to witness on your visit to this site is the Galapagos chamomile tree. This tree produces a white liquid that is toxic, so you should avoid touching its leaves or eating its fruits since you would put your health at risk.
The Station beach is ideal for snorkeling since it houses a great variety of marine fauna among which you can see damselfish, sergeant fish, parrot fish, small rays, sea turtles, marine iguanas and zayapas. Likewise, the Playa de la Estación offers tourists a diverse flora in which we find black mangrove, manzanillo and monte salty.
When you leave this beach, remember to take all your waste to help keep the place clean. With this you help that its flora and fauna can be kept away from danger and above all that you can visit it again on any other occasion.
